Cooperations
The International Association for Energy and Environmental Research attaches great importance to cooperation with other institutions in the global energy and environmental field, as such collaborations are crucial for pooling high-quality resources, sharing cutting-edge insights, and accelerating the translation of academic research into practical sustainable solutions. Our key cooperative institutions, along with their detailed introductions and official websites, are as follows:
1. IREC (Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya)
Institution Introduction: As a leading research institution in the energy field, IREC focuses on advancing energy innovation and sustainable development. It has established institutional collaborations with national and international research institutes, universities, and large enterprises, dedicated to facilitating joint research and innovation projects, and promoting personnel exchange programs through international joint training networks. Its cooperation with the Association will further strengthen the linkage between global energy research resources and accelerate the transformation of energy technology achievements.

2. IEA (International Energy Agency)
Institution Introduction: The IEA is a core organization in the global energy field, committed to ensuring the security, affordability, and sustainability of global energy systems. It collaborates with a wide range of international organizations, forums, and economies (including G20, G7, OPEC, etc.), and hosts multiple multilateral organization secretariats (such as the Clean Energy Ministerial Secretariat) at its Paris headquarters. It also provides professional advice for important platforms like the UNFCCC Conference of Parties (COP) and co-founds energy data initiatives (e.g., JODI) to promote global energy data sharing. Its cooperation with the Association will enhance the global influence of energy and environmental research outcomes.

4. Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEPR), Beijing Institute of Technology
Institution Introduction: Founded in 2009, CEEPR originated from the resource and environmental complex system research team established by Professor Wei Yiming in the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the 1990s. It has three provincial and ministerial-level scientific research platforms (including Beijing Laboratory of Carbon Neutrality Systems Engineering) and undertakes over 200 national-level basic research projects (such as national key R&D programs) and more than 30 policy research tasks commissioned by national institutions (e.g., National Development and Reform Commission) and international organizations (e.g., World Bank). It ranks among the world's top 10 in the fields of energy economics and environmental economics (per RePEc data) and is the first Chinese university member of the Integrated Assessment Modeling Consortium (IAMC) and an observer institution of the UNFCCC. Its cooperation with the Association will strengthen academic exchanges and policy research collaboration in the field of energy and climate.
